The same answers on your website, on the phone and in store

Stock of an item in a store, a delivery time, a return, an item to put aside: a KernChat assistant answers from your catalogue and your terms, checks your stock at the Connected collaborator level and passes the reservation to the right store's team.

A conversation, as your customers would see it

The same questions arrive through the website, by phone and in store: stock, lead times, delivery.

What remains

  • The assistant checks your stock before answering.
  • A request passed to the store team, with the conversation.
  • The question about delivery times, left unanswered, comes back as a suggestion.

Maison Verhaegen Assistant

Do you still have the Oslo oak table, in the Namur store?

Yes, two are left in Namur. I can set one aside in your name until Saturday.

Stock checked in your management software

Gladly. Julie Mertens, I will come by Saturday morning.

Noted. The reservation has been passed to the Namur store team.

Daily life at a retail business

The same questions arrive through the website, by phone and in store: is this item in stock, in which store, how fast is it delivered, how do I return it. Each salesperson answers in their own way, and evening questions wait for opening time.

What the assistant changes for you

  • Pre-purchase questions get their answer. Dimensions, materials, care, lead times, delivery, returns: the assistant answers from your catalogue and your terms, citing the source
  • Stock is checked before answering. At the Connected collaborator level, the assistant reads availability per store in your management software
  • Reservations reach the right store. Name, item, store, day of visit: the store team receives the request with the conversation
  • Customer service takes over. A tricky return, a dispute, a late order: the conversation moves to the shared inbox
  • Your customers are served in their language. In English, French or Dutch, with the same catalogue

The questions your customers ask most

The assistant answers from your catalogue and terms. A complicated return or a complaint goes to customer service.

  • Is this item in stock at the nearest store?
  • What is the home delivery time?
  • Do you deliver upstairs, and is assembly included?
  • How do I return an item bought online?
  • Can I have an item put aside?
  • What are the exact dimensions and materials?
  • How do I care for this piece of furniture?
  • What are the store's opening hours over the holidays?

What to gather for a first version

  • Your catalogue, with the dimensions, materials and care instructions for each item
  • Your sales, delivery, assembly and return terms
  • The list of your stores, with their opening hours and individual details
  • Your rules for putting items aside and making reservations
  • The connection to your management software, if the assistant needs to check stock

What the assistant does not do

It takes no payment, refunds nothing and promises no delivery time that is not in your terms. It only talks about the items and terms you give it.

Where to start

Your catalogue, your sales, delivery and return terms and the list of your stores are the base; the stock link comes next. Set-up is done in four steps. Telecom operators use the assistant to recommend an offer before purchase.

The level that usually fits

In this sector, most organizations start at the Connected collaborator level. The one-hour audit confirms it or suggests another.

To go further

Three levels, one assistant

Assistant, Collaborator, Connected collaborator: it answers, it works with your team, it acts in your tools.

Set-up from €1 500 excl. VAT, subscription from €100 excl. VAT per month: hosting in Europe, AI usage and monthly review included. The level and the exact price are set after the audit.

Everything starts with a one-hour audit of your questions, your documents and your tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI assistant check a store's stock?
Yes, at the Connected collaborator level: a KernChat assistant queries your management software during the conversation, within the limits you set, and answers on availability per store. At the other levels it answers from your catalogue and passes the stock question to the team.
Can the assistant take a payment or refund a customer?
No. It answers, puts an item aside when you allow it and passes requests on; payments, refunds and disputes stay with your team, with the conversation.
Can the assistant track an online order?
Yes, at the Connected collaborator level, if it is connected to your order management tool and the customer provides an order number or is recognized, within the limits you set. Otherwise, it passes the request and conversation to customer service.
