Heating installers

The first diagnosis is done before you pick up the phone

An error code, a boiler that will not restart, a service visit to book: a KernChat assistant answers from your technical manuals and your prices, walks the customer through the simple checks and passes you a request that is already qualified.

A conversation, as your customers would see it

A customer with a breakdown wants an answer right away. The assistant makes the first diagnosis and passes on a request that is already qualified.

What remains

  • The first diagnosis is made before the call.
  • A qualified request, with the error code and what has already been tried.
  • Breakdowns that come back often are added to your knowledge.

Thermo Lambert Assistant

My boiler shows F28 and will not restart.

F28 signals an ignition fault. Check that the gas valve is open, then restart with the reset button. Does it start again?

Technical manuals › Error codes

No, still the same code.

Then a technician is needed. Your name, a number and your municipality, and the team calls you back to schedule the visit.

Request passed on with the diagnosis already made

Daily life as a heating installer

When a boiler breaks down, the customer calls, often while you are at another customer's home. Many of those calls are solved by a simple check (the gas tap, the pressure, the reset button), and the others arrive without the make, the error code or the address.

What the assistant changes for you

  • The simple checks are done before the call. With your manuals and error codes, the assistant guides the customer: system pressure, gas tap, reset button. It cites the manual it uses
  • The request arrives complete. Make, model, code shown, what has already been tried, address and number: your technician leaves with the diagnosis
  • Your schedule fills up. At the Connected collaborator level, the assistant reads the free slots and creates the job in your schedule. At the other levels the request arrives by e-mail with the conversation
  • Service and quote requests are sorted. Annual service, boiler replacement, heat pump: the assistant asks the relevant questions and routes the request to the right person
  • Your answers stay yours. Service area, call-out charge, lead times: the assistant answers with what you wrote and says so when it does not know

The questions your customers ask most

The assistant answers from your manuals, rates and instructions. The on-site diagnosis remains the technician's job.

  • My boiler is showing an error code, what should I do?
  • My system pressure is low, how do I bring it back up?
  • When is the annual service due, and how much does it cost?
  • Do you cover my municipality?
  • How much is a call-out for a breakdown?
  • Should I replace my boiler or switch to a heat pump?
  • Are there grants for a heat pump in my region?
  • My radiators are cold at the top, is that normal?

What to gather for a first version

  • The manuals and error codes for the makes you install and service
  • Your safety instructions, particularly for a smell of gas
  • Your service area, call-out charges and servicing rates
  • The list of checks customers can safely carry out themselves
  • The information to collect for a replacement quote request

What the assistant does not do

It does not replace the technician and never asks the customer to do anything risky: no opening the boiler, nothing on the gas supply. A smell of gas always gets the same answer, the one in your safety instructions.

Where to start

Your manuals, the error codes of the makes you install, your service area and your prices are enough for a first version. Set-up is done with you, and the assistant improves with the questions that stay unanswered (see the features). If you work for property managers, their own assistant can pass on reports of breakdowns from their tenants: see the page about property management.

The level that usually fits

In this sector, most organizations start at the Collaborator level. The one-hour audit confirms it or suggests another.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI assistant diagnose a boiler breakdown?
It makes the first diagnosis, never the repair. With your manuals and error codes, a KernChat assistant walks the customer through the safe checks (pressure, gas tap, reset button), then passes on a request with the make, the code shown and what has already been tried.
What does the assistant say when someone smells gas?
Your safety instructions, with no diagnosis: leave the home, call the emergency number and let you know. Those instructions are written with you at set-up and tested before the assistant goes live.
Can the assistant take annual service requests?
Yes. It gives your rates and servicing periods, collects the appliance's make and age along with the address, then passes the request to you; at the Connected collaborator level, it puts it directly into your schedule.
